Cottingham is a large village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It lies 4 miles (6 km) north-west of the centre of Kingston upon Hull, and 6 miles (10 km) south-east of Beverley on the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. It has two main shopping streets, Hallgate and King Street, which cross each other near the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, and a market square called Market Green, which still hosts the market every Thursday.
Being on Cottingham Train Station, there are no end to the places you can travel. We even have a direct train to London. We can provide you with a picnic basket, filled to the brim with lots of both, sweet and savoury goodies and a bottle of pink fizz and you can jump on the train and in 6 minutes, be in our neighbouring village of Beverley. This is the home of Beverley race course. So maybe a day at the races or a romantic picnic on The Beverley Westwood.
There are some beautiful walks, that take you to some of Cottinghams areas of particular interest. This is the Cottingham Circular, a 9 mile/14 kilometre walk going through the centre of our village and taking in parts of neighbouring villages Skidby and Willerby.
